Insider Secrets? Really?

Were you thinking about getting a copy of the new 2010 version of The Insiders Secrets home study course? If so, then you might want to read what I have to say about the course first.
One of the most difficult problems faced by anyone wanting to start their own online business is knowing where and how to get started. However, The Internet Marketing Center claims to have put together the most complete step-by-step course for Internet Newbies and advanced website owners alike.
What do I think? Well, let’s look at everything included in the materials so you can decide if it’s worth your consideration.
UPDATE!!
The entire Insider’s Secrets course has been completely revised for 2010! In order to stay updated with the latest information, the course is now web based for easy online access.
The first thing I noticed is how well the information was packaged and presented. There are two 3-ring binders containing over 800 pages of instruction. Also included are 6 DVD’s and a 56 page book.
Four of the DVD’s cover finding a profitable market, writing sales copy, creating winning ads, and website optimization. Two additional discs include a list of resources for marketers, success stories and website make-overs. The book covers some of the latest Web 2.0 marketing strategies.
The main course contents contained in the two binders includes 64 lessons broken down into a step-by-step plan. Each lesson ends with an action plan to move you forward.
Here’s what the sales page promises to deliver:
How To Choose A Profitable Business Model
The Secrets To Finding or Creating Hot Products and Services To Sell From Your Website
Create A Professional Website, Designed To Convert Maximum Visitors Into Satisfied, Paying Customers
Little-Known Secrets You Can Use To Drive 1,000s of Eager, Qualified Buyers To Your Website
How To Collect Email Addresses and Follow Up With Your HOTTEST Sales Leads
How To Recruit An Online Sales Force
How To Automate Your Business And Make It “Hands Free” in 1-2-3 Easy Steps
Stealth Advanced Sales and Traffic Secrets You Can Use To Multiply Your Income
So, what do I like and dislike about this product?
What I liked best about the course was how complete it was. Anyone looking for direction on getting their online business started will find the steps easy to follow and well organized.
I also liked the included DVD’s (now online!) In addition to being able to watch key steps performed for you, the discs include tips for writing sales copy and headlines. I also picked up a few tips from the website make-overs included.
One thing I didn’t like about this product was the number of upsells included. But hey, this is a marketing course and those upsells show you how you can build your business by doing the same thing with your products or services. Besides, you don’t have to buy any of them to benefit from this course.
The course also claims that even complete newbies can get started right away. Although Insider Secrets covers plenty of basic information, it can’t cover everything. Like anything new, there’s a small learning curve. Complete beginners should have at least a little understanding of how domain names or web hosting works. But those are easily learned.
How well does the program deliver on its promises?
Nearly everything covered in the course can be found online in forums, ebooks, websites, etc. However, it would take you months, if not years, to find all of the information and step-by-step action plans covered here in one complete package.
Would I recommend the Insiders Secrets course?
Absolutely! Because I haven’t found a product yet that delivers everything a new marketer needs for getting started until I saw The Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet.
In case you’re wondering, yes, I own a copy of the course. And, as an experienced marketer, I even learned a few new tips that I’ve already implemented into my own business.
