One of the key reasons I like Build A Niche Store is its ease of use. The manual is presented in a logical step-by-step flow for getting your first site running as quickly and easily as possible.  I also like its built-in flexibility.  As I’ve already mentioned, BANS is completely customizable. You can add your own header graphic, change the complete color scheme, and utilize the different template layouts to create a site that is uniquely you own.

Despite it’s simplicity, complete beginners may struggle with using BANS at first. Although the program comes with a detailed user manual, there is a slight learning curve when it comes to choosing and buying a domain name and getting a hosting account set up. However, those obstacles are overcome with the excellent video tutorials available at many hosting providers.

Another minor complaint is the tools recommended in the manual. In order to upload your site to a hosting account you will need to understand and use an FTP software program. The ftp program recommended in the user manual has a 30-day free trial and then you must buy it. (I’m guessing Build A Niche Store is an affiliate of the recommended program.) In my opinion, there are better programs available on the web for free.

As I have previously noted, there is a slight learning curve when first using BANS. Although Build a Niche Store contributes only a small portion of my online income, the sites I’ve built with this program continue to grow and provide a regular stream of commissions. BANS does an excellent job of delivering on it’s promises in both functionality and usability.
