New Features For XSitePro!
Paul Smithson just announced plans for a semi-major update to the popular website builder XSitePro!
I’ve been using XSitePro for several years now to build a variety of websites. The upgrade from Version 1 to Version 2 was well worth the wait. But this new update looks to be another great improvement to an already great program.
According to Paul, this won’t be a big enough change to call it Version 3 but it will be significant enough to become Version 2.5.
There will be two major areas of focus for this update. One being design (site design) and the other being a form of “plug-in” or widget function similar to the Wordpress platform.
Initial plans are to toss out most of the existing templates included with the program and replace them with a completely new set of templates. Work has already started on these new designs.
Currently, XSitePro has a number of built-in functions for automating several steps of the design process such as adding audio, video, or opt-in forms to your pages.
Unlike Wordpress plug-ins, a major benefit of XSitePro is that these “tools” can be written right into the program for easy access. They will be fully tested and integrated features of the program.
Current users of the software are being asked to send Paul their wish list of features they’d like to see included in this next update. The same was done with the Ver. 1 to Ver. 2 upgrade. Paul listened to his customers and provided as many functions as he could so you know he already has a list of ideas from that upgrade.
